Temple of Ekemtis – A Sacred Site of Gods, Elves, and Wisdom

The Temple Complex of Ekemtis, nestled in the southern branches of the Delasis Delta, is a revered religious and intellectual hub. Housing grand temples, shrines, libraries, and archives, Ekemtis draws pilgrims, philosophers, and scholars from across Wordal to study its sacred texts and teachings.

While much of the world follows the Faith of the Great Balance, Tarnen’s unique religion revolves around four gods: Soldakar, the Father of the Sun; Arida, Goddess of Sand and Death; Azura, Goddess of Rivers and Luck; and Zevir, God of Civilization and Prosperity. Religious ceremonies are performed at night, symbolizing the awakening of the gods as the Father sleeps.

Steeped in ritual, the Tarnish royal line ties deeply to these deities. Priests determine which god each royal child embodies, shaping their roles in life. Upon a monarch’s death, a divine ritual selects the next ruler based on the kingdom’s needs.

The Temple of Ekemtis, with its spiritual significance and association with the elves, provides a captivating setting for fantasy maps and RPG campaigns, where ancient traditions, divine mysteries, and royal intrigue intertwine.
